Intel and the Commission for Information and Communications Technology (CICT) have just devised a PC solution for all IT PINOYs called Nettop ng Bayan 2.0.
the low-cost desktop features an Atom N270 chip, 80G hard disk, 1Gb memory, 15in LCD and is priced @ P10,800. this however comes without an OS and internet, which leaves it to the resellers to enhance the package.
Nettop ng Bayan program is actually a continuation of a previous project by the CICT and Intel called the "PC ng Bayan."
Intel Philippines country manager Ricky Banaag said introducing these cheap desktop options would further convince people to purchase computers.
